Overview

SA Life Academy offers a community based day program designed to meet the diverse needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our certified Special Education teachers create a stimulating and individualized curriculum that promotes personal growth, skill development, and community involvement. The program focuses on key areas such as relationship building, art, recreational therapy, health and wellness, and life and job skills training. In addition, students engage in over 5-6 hours of volunteer work each week, allowing them to give back to the community in a meaningful way. Through partnerships with local volunteers and professionals, we also offer specialized classes, including yoga, gardening, drumtastics, exercise, and other therapeutic activities. With a maximum of 12 students per class, our program allows personalized attention and support, running Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

The SA Life Difference

SA Life Academy differentiates itself from similar programs by offering a specialized and stimulating curriculum designed by Certified Special Education teachers who understand and respond to the unique needs of each student. With a low teacher-to-student ratio, each classroom of 12 students includes both a Lead Teacher and an Associate Teacher to ensure individualized attention.

Our program emphasizes community integration through volunteer opportunities and educational and recreational outings. Through these outings, SA Life Academy students experience the world with their friends, giving back to the community while doing life together.
